Verzorging en onderhoud	Teakhout heeft een geelachtig kernhout met rechte nerf en witachtig tot geelachtig bruin spinthout. Als het niet wordt onderhouden, zal het verouderen tot een prachtige zilvergrijze patina, vooral bij blootstelling aan zonlicht. Regelmatig oliën of afdichten is vereist om de oorspronkelijke kleur te behouden.
